Merry Christmas!

I thought this picture looked very relaxing and warm! Merry Christmas Friends! I've been up north in Thompson for a week now and i got to admit, i've found it a much needed and relaxing time. Almost how life should be lived, to some extent...
... I always find Christmas an interesting day! I went and drove out for a coffee this morning, thank you Robin's for never closing ...too bad for the employee's though... anyhow i noticed how QUIET the city was... It's like everything goes to sleep on Christmas day and people take time for family etc... I know Christmas has been seen as a BIG marketing time and too a good extent that is what it has become... But we have a GREATER reason to celebrate this time of year and that's because a Saviour has been born and because of that we rejoice! Even though this day has become very commercialized, i like the way the world seems to shut down a little, if only for one day and a spirit of joy and love is in the air... That's what Jesus came to bring and it's cool that we still see that a little on this day once a year... Too bad it didn't happen more often...
Anyways i hope you are all having a great holiday! Merry christmas, look forward to getting back to the New year and Getting back to Youth and Deeper in January! God Bless,
Pastor Jordan.

Harry... "Don't move!...."

Alright, well i cannot believe how close we are to the Holidays! I know, i've said this alot but i really mean it. In 6 days i'll be heading home to the great city of Thompson MB for the break! I'm looking forward to the time of hanging with friends, relaxation and laziness...Amen!
Anyhow, if you were at the LHPA Christmas Banquet last week, you'll remember that it was a great time... The food was awesome, the music was great and the video was entertaining... Not to mention a great message by our guest speaker.
This week, will be the final M:180 Deeper event of the year! Meet at the Church at the usual time of 6pm, and bring a toonie or loonie if possible! We will be taking it easy and having a night of movie and fellowship for our final meeting of the year! The movie we will watch involves these two crazy characters that you see in the picture above, and we'll have some warm beverages and good muchies to go with it! So come on out!
I hope that everyone's week is going great, whether you work or go to school! No matter what, i encourage you all to keep in your Bibles, make time for the important stuff like devotions and prayer and keep going deeper in your walk with God. I know our deeper nights involve bible study, discussion and prayer... but i encourage everyone to carry this on, while you're away from Deeper as well... live out your faith at ALL times... I know it's a season of "rush" but let's all make sure that we're making time for the important things this season... Anyhow, have a great week, hope to see you all on Sunday! Blessings!

Christmas is in the air...

Well, Christmas is definately on the horizon... I for one am looking forward to it... I love the Holiday season! Christmas is one of my favorite times of year... good food, gifts, times with friends and family, movies, and beautiful scenery like the picture seen here... I hope you are all doing well and having a great week... As you all know there is no Deeper this week as the LHPA Christmas Banquet is taking place at the Church. Deeper will resume on Sunday Dec.17, for our final meeting until the New Year... I'll put up a post this Tuesday about the upcoming weeks Deeper plans...
Things are getting busy, i haven't bought any Christmas gifts yet, so id better get on that... How are you guys doing with that? Anyhow, just to say hey and to let you know that i'm praying for you all and look forward to seeing you next week...Later!
Pastor Jordan!
